The astounding sportstars of DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana stood Runners Up at CBSE Basketball Tournament -2017 held at Adesh International Public School, Lakhinder Miani, Dst. Hoshiarpur from 6th Oct. 2017 to 9 th Oct 2017. The U-17(Boys) and U-19(Girls) team gave a cut throat competition to their contenders and made their way to the finals. Mr. Rajesh Thakur, HOD sports shared that this achievement is very special for the school as it really consumed alot of strenuous efforts to grab position amongst 32 teams from CBSE schools. The focussed and determined attempts of both the boys and girls have bore fruit.
The Principal Dr Satwant Kaur Bhullar expressed her elation on the momentous achievement and congratulated the prize winners. Dr. Bhullar shared that apart from academics, sports is one of the greatest strength of the school. The school is providing the best physical training and coaching facilities to the students who aspire for sports as a career. The lush green vast play arena and Air conditioned Gymnasium is an important highlight which has been a source of attraction and inspiration for the students to opt and inculcate sports in their life.
