DAV Pakhowal Celebrated Janamashtami

Janamashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana on 23^rd August 2016. The principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar alongwith the staff and students worshipped Lord Krishna. Dr. Bhullar extended her best wishes to all for the occasion. She conveyed that children are incarnation of God and true devotion to God lies in their careful upbringing. Janamashtami is symbolic of praising and celebrating the virtues in a human being. One must respect the goodness in others and accept them with everything that Almighty has blessed them with.

Mind pleasing songs and bhajans were sung by the school choir that created a soothing and peaceful atmosphere. The tiny-tots of Kindergarten wing came dressed up as ‘Krishna’ and ‘Radha’. They looked adorable in their costumes. A tableaux representing the scenes of Krishna’s life was set up to reflect the glimpses of Krishna’s childhood events.

The students participated in ‘Matka Phod’ activity as a tribute to ‘Yogi Raj Shri Krishan’. The students also relished the embrocia (bhog) of butter and sugar. The event concluded with great fun and enjoyment.

Dr. Bhullar appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the students and congratulated them for an enthralling performance.
