students bagged recognition at 26th National Childrens Science Congress

The budding scientists Akansha Gulati and Vaishnavi Harjai of Class X from DAV Pakhowal Road Ludhiana participated in the 26th National Children's Science Congress organized by National Council for Science and Technology Communication held at Bhubneshwar (Odisha) from 27 th Dec 2018 to 31st Dec 2018. The students grabbed heartfelt appreciation for their unique and novel project 'Cost-Effective and Eco-friendly Superabsorbent Wows'. The visitors admired the creative thinking and indispensable utility of the project in controlling chronic health and environment related problems. 


The project Incharge Jagdeep Singh(Senior Physics Teacher, DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana) shared that the idea was deeply inspired by the problems faced by farmers while using fertilizers indiscriminately. He also shared that the project has been selected for Indian Science Congress to be held at LPU on 7th Jan 2019 and the team is geared up to experience the fruitful venture. 

The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar congratulated the team for the wonderful performance. She stated that it was indeed a golden opportunity to display the project amongst around 1200 delegates from 29 States, 7 UTs, 10 Asian and 5 Gulf countries. Participation in such a grand event itself was a huge exposure. The school team came back enriched and is looking forward to work upon several projects. She also acknowledged the meticulous efforts of the students, Mrs Ritu Nohria, Science HOD and Mr Jagdeep Singh ( Project Incharge) in the construction of the admirable project. The school has been providing lucrative opportunities for the students to learn and progress.She also assured that the school is leaving no stone unturned to enhance the academic and co-curricular strength of the students.
