DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana Sportstars' Resplendent Victory at DAV National Sports

The U-19 Sportstars of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana grabbed tremendous appreciation for their remarkable performance at the DAV National Sports held at DAV Public School, Hehal Ranchi for Boys and DAV University Jalandhar from 21Dec 2022 to 31 Dec 2022. The year concluded with valuable medals and winners trophies in the treasure chest of the school. The school represented Punjab State at both group and individual games and proved their mettle. The U-19 Boys Basketball Team of Both Boys and Girls exhibited unbeatable strength and courage and brought home Winners Trophy. Mr. Rajesh Thakur, team coach was declared the 'Best Coach', Saumya Dhingra, Captain of the Boys team and Aditi (Girls Team) were adjudged 'Best Players' at National Level.The teams felt abundantly blessed as they received the reward for their hardwork from Hon'ble Shri J.P. Shoor Ji, Director PS-I. The Sportstars who bedecked their chests with medals are:

U-19 Boys Basketball:

Saumya Dhingra (Captain), Mridul Modgil,Rabnoor S. Sethi, Sehajpal S Deol, Harjas S, Jivitesh Madhok and Bhaibhav

U-19 Girls Basketball: Jasleen Kaur Bedi (Captain), Aditi, Sehaj Vishkarma, Gursimrat, Harsh, Manya and Tishmeet Kaur.

Shbaaz Singh Grewal won Gold in Wrestling Tournament.

Kusha Sharma and Lavanya brought Gold in Taekwondo. The school bagged Overall Championship Trophy in Taekwondo.

Priyanka and Agamjot bagged Gold Medal in Karate. The school won Overall Championship Trophy in Karate.

Gursirat Kaur, Tanya, Ashmita and Manmeet Kaur represented Punjab in Handball Tournament and won Gold Medal.

In Boxing Arushi Singh (60 Kgs weight category) won Silver medal. Arpann Grewal (75 weight category) won silver medal. Navneet Kaur (80 weight category) won Bronze medal.The school  won IInd Runners Up trophy for its remarkable performance in Boxing.

Ishmeet Singh won Bronze Medal in Swimming Competition held at Ranchi

The U-19 Girls Hockey team comprising Kashish Kashyap(Captain), Prabhkirat Kaur, Riya Peshin, Shreyam Singh, Tanisha, Jashan, Himanshu Narang, Harleen, Kritika, Megha, Hanita,Raina and Enayat stood IInd Runners Up.

Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar appreciated the grit and determination of the students and Physical Education Dept. She also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the winners and expressed her elation on this momentous and cherishable victory.
