DAV Public School Celebrated Teej with Vibrant Enthusiasm

The students of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, joyfully celebrated Teej, the Monsoon festival, with unbridled energy and passion. The school premises were transformed into a kaleidoscope of colors, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.

The students of Classes Prekg . to XII dazzled the audience with their captivating performances of traditional folk songs, bhangra, giddha, Tappe, and Boliyan. Their vibrant attire, adorned with intricate designs and colors, added to the festive atmosphere.

To make the celebration even more special, the students savored traditional Teej delicacies like 'Kheer' and 'Malpuas'. A mehandi-applying and pranda-tying activity was also organized for classes IX-XII, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants.

Students also participated in the Best Traditional Attire and Best Bangles competition, showcasing their sense of style and tradition.

Ms. Gurdeep Kaur, HOD Punjabi Department, praised the students for their enthusiasm and dedication for preserving cultural traditions. Principal Satwant Kaur Bhullar highlighted the significance of 'Saun maheena te tian' in Punjabi culture and encouraged students to take pride in their rich heritage.
