Marks 78 Glorious Years of Independence with Grand Celebrations

Under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar, the DAV Pakhowal NSS & NCC Unit commemorated a memorable celebration on 15 August 2024 that echoed the spirit of freedom and patriotism. Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar, a beacon of dedication and leadership, inaugurated the momentous occasion by proudly hoisting the national flag, a powerful symbol of nation’s unity and freedom. 

The NCC cadets and NSS volunteers, with their impeccable march past, paid a heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters, honouring their sacrifices and legacy in the nation's struggle for independence. The celebration was further enriched by patriotic speeches, a poignant poem recital presentations by NSS & NCC students which kindled the patriotic feelings in the hearts of their peers. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the NSS girls performed a vibrant and patriotic dance, which captivated the audience and highlighted their enthusiasm and commitment to national pride. The entire ambience resonated with the soulful anthems sung by the NCC and NSS students. The highlight of the event was a captivating skit on traffic awareness staged by NCC volunteers that made everyone realise the importance of road safety and civic responsibilities. 

Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar paid her heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters and for showing India a new horizon of sustainability. She acknowledged Arya Rattan Padam Shri Awardee Honourable Dr. Punam Suri ji’s selfless contributions and his visionary mission of empowering students to become responsible citizens and future leaders. She appreciated NCC and NSS Unit Incharges and students for their outstanding efforts in making the event a memorable and inspiring one. The celebration concluded with National anthem.
