DAV Sports - Empowering DAVians

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana proudly convened the 'DAV Sports - Empowering DAVians'  State-level Sports tournament from September 29, 2024, to October 1, 2024. The prestigious event showcased the exceptional talents of approximately 1,000 sportstars from 40 DAV schools across eight clusters of Punjab.

The tournament was inaugurated by Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar along with elite observers Pr. Ms. Sandeep Renu (DAV Global School, Patiala) and Pr. Mr. V. K. Mittal (DAV School Nabha) , who ceremoniously hoisted the DAV flag on September 29, 2024, amidst the resonant chanting of mantras, underscoring the ethos of unity and sportsmanship. Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar in her eloquent address acknowledged the instrumental role of Arya Rattan Padam Shri Awardee Hon'ble Dr. Punam Suri Ji (President DAV CMC, New Delhi) in giving latitude to Games and Sports through this incredible platform. She also shared that with his blessings and supreme guidance DAV Sports have got recognition by the Youth and Sports Ministry of India opening gateways to golden careers for  the sports aspirants.  She also recognised the untiring efforts of Pr. Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu (ARO PB Zone-F and Ludhiana Cluster Head & Punjab State Schools Coordinator ) for her constant guidance and support in organising the event. She encouraged the participants to embody the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance through their athletic pursuits. She also shared the glorious achievements of DAVians who represented India in the recent Olympics.

Competitors demonstrated their prowess in five disciplines: Basketball, Boxing, Karate, Taekwondo, and Wushu, with 28 officials meticulously overseeing the events. This tournament not only champions athletic excellence but also cultivates a vibrant sense of community and fosters healthy competition among students.
The three days mega event of empowering DAVians through sports remained in full swing throughout the day.
