TRAFFIC AWARENESS PROGRAM AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL

An informative seminar on Traffic and Road Safety was organized for Classes IX to XII and school drivers at DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana on 20th April 2023 . The event was graced by Honourable Mr. Gurpreet Singh Sidhu (ACP Traffic), Mr. Avtar Singh (A.S.I), Mr. Jasbir Singh (Head Constable), Mr. Gaurav (Vidhya Prayaas, NGO) and Mr. Bal Krishan Tiwari (Guest Speaker from Vidya Prayaas,NGO) as the distinguished guests of the day. The students extended a warm welcome to the guests of the day through their scintillating dance performances and musical melodies.

Hon'ble ACP Gurpreet Singh Sidhu appreciated the school Arya Yuva Samaj team volunteers for showing their affection and compassion towards the underprivileged as they proceeded to visit Balaji Prem Ashram and Nikhil Vidhyalaya and old age home for donating grocery.

Mr.Jasbir Singh, in his key note address acquainted the students with traffic rules and importance of road etiquettes.He also alarmed the students against sim swapping  and using public wifi.He stressed the use of ISI-marked helmets, and fastening seat belts besides following safe pedestrian norms. Mr. Avtar Singh (ASI) urged the students to spread the road safety tips among their near and dear ones. Even the school transportation staff and drivers were informed about the road safety laws and rules.

Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar appreciated the Traffic Police Department for taking up the initiative of creating a law-abiding society. She expressed her delight on witnessing the active participation of students throughout the programme. She shared that such awareness programmes are the need of the hour. She wished that such drives should be encouraged more so that upcoming generations can learn to create safe zone for themselves and others. Mr Balkrishan Tiwari appreciated the efforts of the school in promoting road safety awareness and core values amongst the budding stakeholders.
