Hypertension Awareness Camp

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana in collaboration with Hero DMC Heart Institute, Ludhiana and City Needs organized a Hypertension Awareness Camp as a part of ‘Mission SwasthKavach - Ek ne 20’ on its campus on 14 July 2024. The entire camp focused on the Sustainable Development Goal -3 ‘Good Health & Well-being’, aiming to promote better health practices and awareness within the community. The camp became fruitful under the guidance and supervision of Mr. Varinder Singh and Mr. Rahul Thakur, Research Assistants, from Hero DMC Heart Institute and Dr. Navdeep Kaur Dhir and Dr. Jaskamalpreet Kaur, School Medical Staff. The Medical students (class XII), trained by DMC, monitored the blood pressure levels of the attendees including parents, teachers and supporting staff. The students felt encouraged on witnessing an overwhelming response to the camp.

Mr. Varinder Singh appreciated medical students for their skills and information on hypertension prevention and management.

Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar expressed her gratitude to the Hero DMC Heart Institute for training the students. She emphasized the crucial role of such initiatives in promoting a healthy lifestyle and proactive healthcare practices among students, teachers and parents. She encouraged the students to participate in such community well-being endeavour.
