THREE DAYS CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME CONCLUDES AT DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL PAKHOWAL ROAD, LUDHIANA
Three days capacity building programme under the guidance of DAVCAE, winded up in its full glory at DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana. Around 150 teachers of 11 schools teaching Secondary and Senior Secondary classes participated in the programme. Valedictory ceremony was performed by Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar Principal of the host school along with Shri. Brij Mohan ( Principal ,DAV Public School,Jagraon) to felicitate the resource persons for their efforts to polish the teaching methodologies.
The informatory sessions along with fruitful activities conducted in all the subjects proved to be resourceful for teachers. The workshop aimed to bring in a productive transformation in the methods of teaching so as to make learning more students oriented. Activity based interesting sessions made every teacher to think critically and make the classroom teaching child- centric with innovative and interesting activities through uses of three R’s in Social Science, games, presentations, PPT, role plays, poster making, puzzles, crosswords and innovative skills. The main focus was given on how to make balanced paper, E-Lesson Plan and hyper linking. The engrossing and refreshing activities were conducted to clarify the doubts about the newly introduced Art integration, according to the guidelines of CBSE.
Pr. Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar expressed her gratitude to Padamshree Dr. Punam Suri ji and Principal Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu (Regional Training Coordinator , Ludhiana Zone ) for the innovative idea of conducting the workshops on regular intervals to keep the teachers acquainted with the latest changes. She said that it was an endeavor on the part of DAVCAE to keep the teachers abreast with the latest strategies and CBSE guidelines to manage the classroom environment effectively She expressed the need for these training programmes to be organized on regular basis to enhance the academic standards. It was a fruitful and enriching session, full of hands-on activities for teachers to indulge and learn from.
