DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana organised Baisakhi celebrations on its campus on 12^th April 2016. The school ambience got converted into the panorama of culture and heritage. The festival was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by the Kindergarten wing. The tiny tots came dressed up in Punjabi traditional attire.

The atmosphere got brimmed up with Punjabi vigour and vitality. The teachers talked about the culture, its pride and heritage. They also made the students aware of the significance of agriculture and the hardwork of the farmers in supplying food and catering industrial needs. The rich cultural heritage of Punjab was depicted through tableaux showing many things like Chulha, Pakkhi, Chhajj, Charkha, Matki, Phulkari and wheat stalk. The little Gabroos and Mutiyars tapped their feet on the beats of dhol.

The Principal Dr. Mrs. Satwant Kaur Bhullar Ji extended her best wishes to all the parents and the students for the occasion and expressed her heartfelt thanks to all the farmers who put in strenuous efforts to keep nourishing the sources of life for all.
