MR Vaccination Campaign at DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana

DAV Public School Pakhowal Road Ludhiana after an orientation session for staff on MR vaccination on 5th May 2018 begin with the campaign of immunisation on 10 th May 2018 by vaccinating 180 children of the teaching and non teaching staff members. Careful measures have been taken by the school to make this indespensible task safe and secure for the students under the able supervision of the skilled team of doctors. A special Air conditioned immunisation room and observation room has been provided to vaccinate and observe the kids. The class incharges are leaving no stone unturned to pacify the parents and kids during this significant mission. The teachers are equipped with complete information regarding the vaccination. The parents are most welcome to enquire about the procedure from the teachers. To reduce the anxiety of the injection, teachers have made special arrangements of entertainment in the observation room. It was amazing to see kids dancing,  singing and playing games.The tough time of vaccination turned into fun and frolic for the students. The students who were immunised were given certificates of vaccination.

The Principal Dr. Satwant Kaur Bhullar shared that the school fully supports this life saving vaccination. It is vital to realize the importance of this drug in building and strengthing immunity against fatal diseases Measles and Rubella. She appealed the parents to cooperate and support the government pursuit to eliminate Measles and control Rubella. They must resist rumours as the school is making its best efforts to make this experience safe and pleasant for all the kids. She shared that the school targets to complete the vaccination procedure for 4800 students under 15 years within three days. The parents of junior students from Classes Pre KG to III will accompany the students for the vaccination. Though parents are welcomed to accompany senior students but it is advisable that they should allow them to join in the mission with their peer group as it reduces the stress. The school always wish for the betterment and welfare of the students.
